Keith's 30th Birthday

Keith celebrated his 30th birthday a few weeks ago (hello, old man! I'm allowed to say that since I'm still youthfully at 29!) and so we spent the weekend at the Gaylord Texan for some family fun. My initial plan was to make a quick getaway to Disney World since we had the whole week off and it would've made a perfect rendezvous before we become a family of four, however with Little Missy on her way and plane tickets being ridiculously expensive I figured it was a better (smarter) idea to go the cheaper route...don't worry, Mickey, we will see you again one day!

We love visiting the Gaylord at Christmas time and I thought it would be a great time for Dylan to go to his first ICE exhibit...this year it was Madagascar. Although the loud music, big crowd, and 12 degree temps were probably a little more than he could handle, I would like to think he had fun.

We just HAVE to jump on the bed...

And drool over the trains!

Dylan was not in the "picture taking" mood, so this was the only one I could get with him...

Love this one :-)

Dylan not impressed with the ICE exhibit (and unsure why daddy was)...

Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of Thanksgiving. Keith's parents, Stacey, and Joey all came to celebrate with us and we ate to our heart's content. The next morning the best brother in the whole wide world got up at 5am with me to do a little shopping! And after a fun weekend with family we FINALLY got around to decorating our tree...

Trying to play one of Keith's trombone ornaments...yes, one of them, as in he has more than one!

Success!!! Let the holiday fun begin!

Klyde Warren Park

This morning we hopped on the DART train, met our good friends The Hyde's, and rode down to downtown Dallas to go check out the new Klyde Warren Deck Park. It's a park that they made that sits on top of the Woodall Rodger's Freeway...very cool!

It was so crazy to see cars driving underneath us!

Playing in the sand!

Our boys!

They had a great children's park in addition to other open spaces for people with pets, groups doing yoga, or couples sitting around reading a book. And I can't forget to mention the food trucks!!! They had 1 or 2 out for breakfast and I unfortunately didn't jump at the opportunity quick enough before they packed up :-( They had about 4 or 5 out for lunch and it all smelled amazing! We didn't get a chance to stop for any since we had a train to catch, but I'm anxiously waiting for the next time when I can eat my way through the food truck industry of Dallas. Dylan had a great time and napped until 4pm...success!

Halloween 2012

We had so much fun with great friends for Halloween!

One weekend we met Cara and James at a Pumpkin Patch in Frisco!

Then Daddy carved our pumpkin...this year it was Cookie Monster!

Cool!!!

Last weekend we met our fun friends The Hyde's at the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch...Dylan and Jackson had a blast!

And last night we took the kids Trick-or-Treating!

Super Why and "Coco"...love these boys so much!

It was so fun to see them actually get into the whole "trick-or-treating" thing...by the end of the night, they were pros at walking up to random people's houses and stealing their candy. Now on to my next project...Christmas shopping for Dylan!
