Easter 2014

We were so excited that Keith was actually home this year for Easter! He usually works a gig for Easter which means he's gone half the day and after nap we'd usually attempt church and dinner. But this year Keith didn't work so it was nice, but I also had no idea what to do since we don't have any Easter family traditions yet. Plus, my parents and Joey were in town so we got to spend Easter with them too...it was nice not spending Easter with just the kids for once!

Easter egg hunt at the park (since our backyard is full of mud)...

It was a great Easter weekend and the kids have really enjoyed having so many visits from their grandparents lately :-)

Spring Break 2014/Foundation Repair

Over Spring Break this year we had our foundation and plumbing fixed. Long story short, we had a water leak (or a few, I'm not sure) and although we thought that caused our foundation to cave, State Farm didn't think so (and wouldn't pay for anything). So in the process of getting everything fixed, we had to move EVERYTHING that was downstairs and rip up all of the flooring. Once I realized how crazy it would all get, I decided the kids and I should visit Keith's family in Houston for a few days...

Starting to pack everything away...

We had to move everything upstarts into the kid's rooms...

Keira's 1st stay in a hotel!

Making some phone calls...

And since we were kicked out from our house for the repairs, we spent a lot of time at the mall :-)

Selling some ice cream...

...and doing some shopping!

The next day, my good friend Jessica was so sweet to offer to let us join her at the Dallas Aquarium before heading down to Houston...the kids had a blast!

Our girls!

Dylan loved the shark tunnel!

Dylan enjoying some park time and Fireman Sam at Grandmom and Papa's house!

I was hoping we would've returned and everything would've been fixed, but unfortunately, that was not the case...I was not happy with the plumbers and I left plenty of voicemails letting them know that...

And that had to push back our new flooring installation...such a headache!

We basically had to live out of our bedroom for a week...all 4 of us...

But now everything is finally done and we are so happy to have a functioning house again!!! I NEVER want to go through that again...especially with 2 toddlers!
